Deer Park Child Development Center

The mission of Deer Park Child Development Center is to support families with preschoolers and young children by providing a loving and nurturing environment for learning. Our goal is for our staff to make each child feel loved, to teach a curriculum that guides your child, and to help create memories that will follow your child.

We also want to provide a safe, fun atmosphere where your children (and their parents) can know that Jesus loves them and has a plan for them. We know that parenting is hard! Deer Park Baptist Church wants to help strengthen you and your family as you navigate this time of life.

Parent surveys have consistently listed our staff as our strongest asset. Our teachers have certifications or degrees in education or have multiple years of experience working with children. Our staff are required to participate in annual training and background checks. All teachers are certified in CPR and First Aid. We are proud to maintain low classroom ratios but most of all, our staff love your children!

All children are exposed to daily activities that include Bible lessons, Art, Music, Dramatic Play, Science and Nature, Math Concepts, Manipulatives, Fine and Gross Motor Skills. Children in 4K use the Get Set for School Curriculum from Handwriting Without Tears for Readiness, Language and Math lessons.

Additional enrichment activities for 3K and 4K include Music and Movement, Kids on Mission, Art Class, and WOW (World of Wonders). WOW further extends theme topics into areas of math, science, and social studies. Learning Labs and Creative Cooking classes are offered throughout the year, along with mission projects and special events.

Last Day of School: Wednesday, May 13, 2026 

We follow the Berkeley County School district for breaks, teacher workdays, inclement weather, etc. 

1s: Available based on interest! 

2K: 9am-12:30pm; 3, 4, or 5 days per week

3K: 9am-12:30pm; 3, 4, or 5 days per week

4K: 9am-12:30pm; 3, 4, or 5 days per week

Lunch Bunch: 12:20pm-1pm daily; available as drop-in or on a regular schedule.
